Are you wondering how celebrities and influencers always have picture-perfect makeup? We reached out to professional makeup artist Jamie Greenberg, who is a LA based makeup artists with celebrity clients such as Radisha Jones and Kaley Cuoco, to find out her tips and tricks so our makeup can be flawless for all of your upcoming holiday parties this season.     Step 1: Start with Clean Skin Starting with clean skin is an essential first step for any MUA approved makeup routine. Making sure that you are starting with a blank slate is the best way to ensure that your end result can look its best. As you know, Fall is upon us which means it’s time to bring back out the vampy lips and darker eyes as we approach the cooler weather. This week in the blog, we are going to be talking about Fall trends that we’ve been loving this season as well as some of our favorite products! From winged eyeliner to darker lip colors, keep reading to find out the Fall trends we can’t get enough of.   From Day to Night Eyeshadow First up are multicolored lids. This makeup trend is so fun to try out and is something you can try at home! The trend is done by having at least two eyeshadow colors on your eyelid. We recommend using a darker color on the outer and inner corner of the eye with a shimmer in the center for a “halo” eyeshadow effect. This can be done with any of our On Point Eyeshadow Palettes, but we particularly love this trend with our Wednesday palette. To create this trend yourself, follow the steps below:   To begin, first apply shade “On The Go” all over the eyelid and the crease of your eye with a fluffy blending brush. If you are an avid Tik-Toker or frequently read updates from the beauty community, then you have likely heard of the “siren eyes” makeup trend. This sultry look is created with smoky winged eyeliner that creates a lifted eye look for added intensity. If you’re curious about what a siren eye look is or how to create the look yourself, we’ve got you covered.        What Are Siren Eyes? Let’s start by figuring out what siren eyes even are before trying to learn how to recreate it. Siren eyes is a trend based around an eyeshadow technique that is similar to our known-and-loved winged eyeliner. What is different from siren eyes and winged liner is the smudgy-sharp fox eye look. The siren eye is designed to help you embrace your inner femininity with a dramatic, dark eye that lifts the eye. This makeup technique elongates the look of eyes for an ultimate feline look.   “Saturday” On Point Eyeshadow Palette   How to Achieve Siren Eyes with PUR “Saturday” On Point Eyeshadow Palette    1. Start the Base The first step regarding the siren eye look is setting the base of your eye look. Using our Saturday On Point Eyeshadow Palette, go in with shade Risqué (a light beige) all over the lid with a fluffy blending brush to gently blend out any harsh lines. You’ll want to keep the base of the eyes simple so the eyeliner can stand out. Adding eyeshadow before applying the eyeliner will make other eyeshadow hues easier to blend on top.    2. Blend Color on Lash Line Halfway Up Lid Take shade Walk of Shame (a deep emerald) and apply it along your lash line and continue to the outer edge of your crease. Blend this eyeshadow color upwards to where it is a little less than halfway up your eyelid. This is going to create a diffused, smudgy eye makeup look. Use a smaller, denser brush to make it easier to control where the color goes.   3. Add Some Depth Next, with a small, dense blending eyeshadow brush, go in with Nightcap (a dark grey) on the lash line in the same motion you would use to apply eyeliner. Carefully create a wing with the same Nightcap shadow starting on the edge of the eye and gently winging the eyeshadow outwards. It is okay if your wing is a little messy! This will add dimension to your eye look.   4.Time For the Liner On top of the shadow eyeliner you have already created, go in with On Point Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Pen to create a winged eyeliner. This eyeliner should be right on the lash line and should wing out to the approximate length of your brow, depending on the level of drama you want in the look. Once you have your wing, apply a small line in a V-shape to your inner corner. This step elevates the cat-eye inspired look.   5. Add to Your Lower Lash Line If you want to fully embody the siren eyes trend, apply shades Walk of Shame (a deep emerald) and Nightcap (a dark grey) in the same order you applied on the upper lash line to your bottom lash line with a small blending brush.   6. Blend, Blend, Blend Now that all of your eyeliner is on, take a dense eyeshadow brush and blend all three colors (Walk of Shame, Nightcap, and On Point Liquid Eyeliner) on the upper lash line together. Keep this eye look smoky and smudgy but be careful not to go overboard. The darker eyeshadow colors shouldn’t cover the whole eyelid.   7. Clean it Up Take a clean makeup wipe or apply makeup remover on a Q-Tip and clean up eyeshadow beneath your wing if necessary.   8. Bring on the Lashes! Ohhh, eye liner. A love-hate relationship. Eyeliner can accentuate the eyes and allow creativity but can sometimes be difficult to apply. It is easy to run into issues when applying eye liner in a traditional sense with either an ink pen or a pencil applicator. Nonetheless, if you are tired of wiping off and reapplying your gel eyeliner two or three times every morning—try using eyeshadow as eyeliner! Follow the steps below if you want to create a smoky eye with the PÜR On Point Thursday Palette as an eyeliner option for an effortless look.   Step 1: Prime the Eyes   Do not skip this step! Priming your eyes is basically the glue that will help make your eyeshadow last longer on your eyelids. The HydraGel Lift Under Eye Perfecting Primer is an all-purpose, cooling eye primer that hydrates the lid and under eye area for an instant brighter, firmer, lifted look while blurring imperfections. The tackiness from the concealer can help your eyeshadow adhere to your eyes for a longer wear time.     Step 2: Go in with an All Over Color   Using the On Point: Thursday Eyeshadow Palette, apply the shade “Wine Time,” a light purple mauve shade, all over the lid. With a fluffy blending eyeshadow brush, go slightly over the crease but do not touch the brow bone. Use windshield wiper motions to ensure the eyeshadow has an even application over the lid and is fully blended. The eyeshadow should blend upwards on the eye and should not have any harsh lines.     Step 3: Apply a Darker Shade in the Crease   Next, use the shade “Day Date,” a pinky mauve eyeshadow shade, in the crease of the eyelid. With a slightly smaller or more densely packed fluffy blending brush, use windshield wiper motions to apply “Day Date” only in the crease. This step will add depth and dimension to the eyeshadow look.   Step 4: Apply a Shimmer on the Lid   Apply the shade “Happy Hour,” a shimmery pink mauve, only on the lid. With a small, flat, packing brush, apply “Happy Hour” in a stamping/tapping motion to the lid. Make sure this shade does not go over the crease, as we want to ensure that “Day Date” is still visible. This eyeshadow should be applied in a semicircle shape with the flat side of the semicircle on your lash line.   **Tip: Spray your brush with Miracle Mist Hydrating Spray for more pigment in the shimmer before applying it to your lid.     Step 5: Apply a Highlight Shade on the Brow Bone   With the same palette, use shade “Pampered,” a champagne shimmer, on the brow bone directly under the center/arch of the eyebrow and on the inner corner of the eye. With a small fluffy blending brush (such as the brush you used in step 3) lightly apply “Pampered” to highlight the brow bone and inner corner. This step can help give your eye a more lifted look.   Step 6: Create a Wing with Eyeshadow   Using the shade “Taxi Please,” a dark mauvy grey, on a small, angled brush, gently stamp the shade on the lash line. You may need to apply two to three layers to achieve the level of darkness you want for your eyeliner look. Once you have the “eyeliner” where you want it, flick the end out on the edge of your eyelid to create a wing.   **Tip: For a more glam eyeshadow look, use the shade “Friday Jr.” instead of “Taxi Please” to create a dark shimmery wing.   Step 7: Clean up the eyeshadow   For the final step of this look, you will need makeup remover and a Q-tip or a makeup wipe to clean any fallout or mistakes from the eyeshadow. Make sure you gently clean under the wing from step 6 to create a sharp line. This step helps your eyeshadow appear cleaner and more put together.
